We coach rural entrepreneurs

We aim to support starting local entrepreneurs in taking the next essential steps in making their regenerative business more viable.

Is this for me?

Our Rural Entrepreneurs are starting agribusinesses that seek to professionalize and diversify their income. To start a sustainable agro-business in the countryside of southern Spain many obstacles have to be overcome. Therefore we support entrepreneurs who:

  • Would like to improve their business strategy and visibility in the territory

  • Are looking for a network and learning community of inspired local entrepreneurs

  • Would like to develop new ideas about how their business can be more sustainable

Challenges in the agricultural system such as the depopulation of rural areas, population ageing, lack of young people, and little entrepreneurial spirit make it hard to start a business. Young entrepreneurs face an uncertain future and therefore the Regeneration Academy is looking for ways to support them and to give them the tools and confidence that is needed to push their business ideas through.

what will i learn?

  • Principles of regenerative entrepreneurship in practice

  • The importance of organizing and giving value to a business idea

  • How to structure your branding and sales strategy

  • How to find out if there is a market for your product

  • Tools for product development and market identification

  • Financial management (e.g. business planning, economic structure)

Rural entrepreneurship in action!

Since starting the program in 2019 the number of in the Rural Entrepreneurship Community has grown to 10 members.

Meet our entrepreneurs

Tamas produces an almond cream from regenerative almonds.

This young Hungarian fell in love with the steppe plateau of southern Spain and its almonds. So he created his own brand to commercialize it directly to the final customer.

Miguel is a young entrepreneur from Bullas, Murcia.

He produces organic honey and its derivatives, and has part of his hives in La Junquera.

He also works in the family business of olive oil and ethnotourism.

I want to be part of this!
