Climate Farm Demo

Climate Farm Demo es una red paneuropea única de Agricultores Piloto de Demostración (PDFs) que abarca 28 países y todas las áreas pedoclimáticas. Su objetivo principal es acelerar la adopción de prácticas y soluciones de Agricultura Inteligente ante el Clima (CSF, por sus siglas en inglés) por parte de los agricultores y todos los actores de los Sistemas de Conocimiento e Innovación de Agricultura Inteligente ante el Clima (AKIS). Esto, con el propósito de adaptar los sistemas de producción agrícola al cambio climático y lograr un sector agrícola neutro en carbono para 2050, cumpliendo así los objetivos de la estrategia climática de la UE.

Su objetivo general es acelerar la adopción de prácticas y soluciones de Agricultura Inteligente ante el Clima (CSF, por sus siglas en inglés) por parte de agricultores y todos los actores de los Sistemas de Conocimiento e Innovación en Agricultura Inteligente ante el Clima (AKIS). Esto busca adaptar los sistemas de producción agrícola al cambio climático y alcanzar un sector agrícola neutro en carbono para 2050, cumpliendo con los objetivos de la estrategia climática de la UE.
Para lograr este objetivo, el proyecto adopta un enfoque de Multi-Actor, conectando a 1500 Agricultores Piloto de Demostración y sus Asesores en Agricultura Climáticamente Inteligente (CFAs) a nivel europeo y nacional para aumentar el intercambio de conocimientos y la fertilización cruzada en sus respectivos AKIS. Los CFAs apoyarán a los PDFs en la implementación de medidas de adaptación y mitigación sugeridas por guías contextualizadas y evaluarán su desempeño ambiental utilizando metodologías y herramientas armonizadas.
Se demostrarán innovaciones técnicas y sociales en una amplia gama de áreas temáticas a la comunidad agrícola más amplia a través de seis campañas anuales de demostración, organizando 4500 eventos demostrativos y fomentando el aprendizaje interactivo y entre pares. Además, se co-crearán nuevas e innovadoras soluciones de CSF en 10 Living Labs distribuidos por toda Europa, compartiendo y ampliando las lecciones aprendidas de la innovación multi-actor.
Se identificarán, propondrán y demostrarán mecanismos públicos y privados de incentivos para los actores de AKIS, promoviendo la adopción de soluciones de CSF mientras se garantizan modelos de negocio sostenibles. Se organizará una cooperación estratégica y operativa con proyectos, iniciativas emblemáticas y responsables políticos a nivel europeo y nacional para compartir conocimientos, coordinar acciones y producir documentos de políticas. Finalmente, se implementará una ambiciosa estrategia de difusión, explotación y comunicación a nivel de la UE y nacional para acelerar la adopción y amplia diseminación de los resultados del proyecto.

Where to start? I signed up for the Regeneration Academy’s one-week crash course, with the intention of gaining some practical knowledge and hands-on experience of what regenerative agriculture is, and how it can be used to restore ecosystems and food networks. In this course, we learned about the regenerative model, a model that proposes a paradigm shift in the current agricultural system and that involves the commitment and fight against the loss of biodiversity, climate change and desertification. Through small seminars, debates, and above all, visits to the field, one knows first-hand what day-to-day life is like in the field and how to make a living from the regenerative business.
The course is taught by professionals in the field, who are the living example of the wealth that is generated there. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to make a living from agriculture, for environmental researchers, or simply for curious people who want to rediscover nature
