Our work

Courses

The Regeneration Academy offers a transdisciplinary learning environment for those people and organizations who want to co-create the future of farming and food. For us regenerative agriculture and land use is an essential part of our future food system.

As this field is still in the pioneering phase, we need to gather as many insights in practice as possible and capacitate the next regenerative agriculture practitioners. We see education as one of the main leverage points to make this happen.

1-day learning journeys

During one of our 1 day learning journeys you will get familiar with a specific topic related to regenerative practices. We will guide you through the farm showing practical examples and trials.

Course

12-17 May 2025

5-day crash course

Regenerative Agriculture is a rapidly growing and new way of looking at food production.

Around the world, young and brave professionals are working hard to develop new practices and values that aim to make farms regenerate landscapes and soils.

If you’re relatively new to this field and want to experience what it can mean for you, you’ve come to the right place.

We do two editions a year: 12-17 May 2025 and October 2025 TBD

Course

Mar-Jul & Sep-Dec

Regenerative Agriculture Research Program

The Regenerative Agriculture Research Program offers positions to students who are committed to make a change in the way we approach agriculture through their thesis work or internship.

Projects

Regenerative organic agriculture improves the resources it uses, rather than destroying or depleting them.

It is a holistic systems approach to agriculture that encourages continual on- farm innovation for environmental, social, economic and spiritual wellbeing.

Proyect

Restoring Valle del Quípar: A mission to bring life back to the land

The Valle del Quípar is a reflection of the challenges facing southern Spain—a region where the land has suffered decades of unsustainable farming, damaging water sources, and rising temperatures. Once a life-giving valley, the Quípar now struggles under the weight of erosion, desertification, and biodiversity loss. But this isn’t just a story of decline—it’s a story of hope, action, and community-driven change.

Viva el Campo

Designed to educate and inspire rural youth to engage in climate mitigation actions within regenerative production and sustainable agribusiness, focusing on sustainable agricultural practices and the rural environment. We combine practical examples with theoretical learning, supported by local schools and institutions.

EU Projects

At Regeneration Academy, we collaborate on European projects such as Humus, Benchmarks, Climate Farm Demo, and Erasmus+, promoting regenerative practices, soil restoration, and environmental education. We work with rural communities, scientists, and entrepreneurs to develop sustainable solutions that address climate change, enhance biodiversity, and revitalize local economies, using our farms as living labs for innovation and practical learning

EU Project

Soil Health Benchmarks

The Soil Health and Food (SH&F) mission board has set the goal to have 75% of European soils healthy or significantly improved by 2030. This is in line with other important European initiatives such as the Green Deal and EU Farm-to-Fork Strategy, as well as with preparations for a new EU law on the protection of Soil Health that aims to protect soils on the same legal basis as air and water. Meanwhile, the private sector too, is proposing explicit visions of sustainable food systems, such as the 1000 landscapes for 1 billion people (1000 landscapes, 2022), the 100-million farmers platform of the World Economic Forum (World Economic Forum, 2022), and the Regen10 initiative of the World Business Council on Sustainable Development (WBCSD, 2022).

Climate Farm Demo

Climate Farm Demo is a unique pan-European network of Pilot Demo Farmers (PDFs) covering 28 countries and all pedo-climatic areas. Its overall aim is to accelerate the adoption of Climate Smart Farming (CSF) practices and solutions by farmers and all actors of the Climate Smart Agriculture Knowledge & Innovation Systems (AKIS) with a view to adapting agricultural production systems to climate change and to achieving a carbon neutral agricultural sector by 2050, thereby meeting the targets of the EU Climate strategy.
